"Flower Beat began as a challenge to myself to make a track that was pure percussion, unlike most of my tunes which rely heavily on harmony and melody. I'm happy that some folks have taken a liking to it, and that two good friends of mine were happy to remix it. Mooves mangled and repurposed the original sounds into something sparse and tense, and Truekey flipped the track entirely on its head by (funnily enough) giving it a strong sense of harmony and melody, even adding his own vocals. To complete the release, I pulled an older, similarly percussion-focused WIP from the archives and fleshed it out into "Tricks," a dark track that's also unlike many other tunes I've made.”

Powerful EP that started to turn heads and make people realise what a unique talent Lewis James is. The punch of those Amens, the vocals from DanDansk and the melodies played by the man himself on guitar/cello hybrid secured Your Love is a Power as a favourite, although it's genuinely hard to try and rank any of these tunes against each other.
