Boxes EP marks a departure from Bluescreen & See Jay’s usual production style. In fact these 4 tunes were composed and recorded over a month or so of live hardware "jamming" with minimal edits being made after the performances were captured. The EP combines deep pads and melodic synths with groovy, LoFi drums, creating a very versatile 160 BPM Halftime-ish sound. It could be useful if you’re looking for opening/closing tracks, if you want to include some relaxed vibes in the middle of your set, and it’s a great listening also outside the club. As Bluescreen says: “it’s not necessarily for the dancefloor and it's a bit rough around the edges but then (being in our mid 30's) so are we!!”
